Joel 2:12-18 GNBDK
[12] “But even now,” says the LORD, “repent sincerely and return to me with fasting and weeping and mourning.
[13] Let your broken heart show your sorrow; tearing your clothes is not enough.” Come back to the LORD your God. He is kind and full of mercy; he is patient and keeps his promise; he is always ready to forgive and not punish.
[14] Perhaps the LORD your God will change his mind and bless you with abundant crops. Then you can offer him corn and wine.
[15] Blow the trumpet on Mount Zion; give orders for a fast and call an assembly!
[16] Gather the people together; prepare them for a sacred meeting; bring the old people; gather the children and the babies too. Even newly married couples must leave their room and come.
[17] The priests, serving the LORD between the altar and the entrance of the Temple, must weep and pray: “Have pity on your people, LORD. Do not let other nations despise us and mock us by saying, ‘Where is your God?’ ”
[18] Then the LORD showed concern for his land; he had mercy on his people.
Responsorial Psalm, Psalms 51:3-4, 5-6, 12-13, 14, 17
R. (see 3a) Be merciful, O Lord, for we have sinned.
Have mercy on me, O God, in your goodness; in the greatness of your compassion wipe out my offense. Thoroughly wash me from my guilt and of my sin cleanse me.
R. Be merciful, O Lord, for we have sinned.
For I acknowledge my offense, and my sin is before me always: "Against you only have I sinned, and done what is evil in your sight."
R. Be merciful, O Lord, for we have sinned.
A clean heart create for me, O God, and a steadfast spirit renew within me. Cast me not out from your presence, and your Holy Spirit take not from me.
R. Be merciful, O Lord, for we have sinned.
Give me back the joy of your salvation, and a willing spirit sustain in me. O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall proclaim your praise.
R. Be merciful, O Lord, for we have sinned.
Reading 2, Second Corinthians 5:20-6:2
2 Corinthians 5:20-21 GNBDK
[20] Here we are, then, speaking for Christ, as though God himself were making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ's behalf: let God change you from enemies into his friends!
[21] Christ was without sin, but for our sake God made him share our sin in order that in union with him we might share the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 6:1-2 GNBDK
[1] In our work together with God, then, we beg you who have received God's grace not to let it be wasted.
[2] Hear what God says: “When the time came for me to show you favour I heard you; when the day arrived for me to save you, I helped you.” Listen! This is the hour to receive God's favour; today is the day to be saved!
Gospel, Matthew 6:1-6, 16-18
Matthew 6:1-6, 16-18 GNBDK
[1] “Make certain you do not perform your religious duties in public so that people will see what you do. If you do these things publicly, you will not have any reward from your Father in heaven.
[2] “So when you give something to a needy person, do not make a big show of it, as the hypocrites do in the houses of worship and on the streets. They do it so that people will praise them. I assure you, they have already been paid in full.
[3] But when you help a needy person, do it in such a way that even your closest friend will not know about it.
[4] Then it will be a private matter. And your Father, who sees what you do in private, will reward you.
[5] “When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites! They love to stand up and pray in the houses of worship and on the street corners, so that everyone will see them. I assure you, they have already been paid in full.
[6] But when you pray, go to your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what you do in private, will reward you.
[16] “And when you fast, do not put on a sad face as the hypocrites do. They neglect their appearance so that everyone will see that they are fasting. I assure you, they have already been paid in full.
[17] When you go without food, wash your face and comb your hair,
[18] so that others cannot know that you are fasting — only your Father, who is unseen, will know. And your Father, who sees what you do in private, will reward you.
Dearest Father
Dearest Father, thank You that I have Your eternal now, our 24-hour activation code to activate Your favor and help. As written in the Second Reading today.
2 Corinthians 6:2 GNBDK
[2] Hear what God says: “When the time came for me to show you favour I heard you; when the day arrived for me to save you, I helped you.” Listen! This is the hour to receive God's favour; today is the day to be saved!
In another version, it said:
2 Corinthians 6: 2 As he said, 'At the time of my favour I have answered you; on the day of salvation I have helped you'; well, now is the real time of favour, now the day of salvation is here.
Today is the day to be saved. Now is the real time of favor.
This is exactly the 24-hour activation code that God showed me to establish as Pillar 4 if I want to live the RichLife in Christ.
In Christ, we already have God's favor. By His death, He has already given us our salvation from sin, from death, from this earth-curse system of painful toil and sweat just to get our provision and anything else we want.
It means we already have the power to live the RichLife Jesus died to give us - a rich and satisfying life.
John 10:10 NLT
[10] The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
A life where we have everything in abundance, more than we expect until we overflow.
John 10:10 TPT
[10] A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect —life in its fullness until you overflow!
But we have to activate it in our lives like a switch to turn on every time we want to use the power of electricity to turn on a light.
God will not do it for us.
I used to put off doing the things God has inspired me to do to achieve His vision for my life.
I would say, “Tomorrow I'll do it. Tomorrow I'll go to mass. Or tomorrow I'll publish my book.” If I come to think of something, I'd immediately say tomorrow I'll do it.
It's like I have endless tomorrows.
I've dreamed of becoming an author and living off of my earnings as an author since 2015. But I knew I had to build an audience. So I started my blog before, HealthWealthVictory.com to share what God is teaching me about living a life of health, wealth, and victory in Him.
But until now, 2025, 10 years after, I'm still at 15 subscribers with a new blog and newsletter. Why? I've put off doing it so much, always saying tomorrow I'll do it.
Though, I'll do it sporadically or at bursts of time or season. And then I'd slack off again. Always confident that I have tomorrow to start over.
And then slacking off, I'd be entangled in a web of sin which gives me so much guilt that I'm not able to do anymore what I said I would do for God because I’d feel guilty of what I did before. And then I'd say again, tomorrow I'll return to the Lord.
But Yesterday is gone. And Tomorrow may never come.
Time is an illusion we made for ourselves as finite beings. Because we have a beginning and an end. To express the passing of time. But really, there is no time as we know it, that linear thing that moves and passes by.
We only have now. God exists in the eternal now. The world exists in an eternal now.
Now is the time of God’s favor. Today is our day of salvation.
We only have this hour in a 24-hour window to activate God's favor.
I heard the CEO and founder of NVIDIA, Jensen Huang, a trillion-dollar tech company, say that he never wears a watch because, for him, the most important time is now. He said he doesn't aspire for more but he aspires to be better at what he is doing now. His trillion-dollar company also doesn't have a long-term plan. Their long-term plan translates to, “What are we doing today?”
God taught me to have that attitude and mindset at the beginning of this year, when He showed me the 4 Pillars of the RichLife Playbook, what I can do to ensure that I live God’s gift of the rich life everyday.
Know that I am His child and heir (my Divine Identification, Pillar 1),
Pursue His GodX vision (Pillar 2) for me, what He wants me to be, do, and have, not only what I want,
Remain in Him and His words as my Rock Foundation (Pillar 3), and
Activate His vision and promises by doing what He tells me to do today within a 24-hour activation (Pillar 4) window, not tomorrow.
But it's more than that.
24-hour activation also means that in this “now” that I'm always in, I already have what I hope to be and have, so I’m now already doing what I’m inspired to do now with the sense and feeling of the wish fulfilled, not with a sense of striving and waiting.
Everything I dream of and wish for is already mine the moment I desired them. Because I couldn't have desired anything if God didn't give it to me.
And because my desires come from God, and God is always present in the Eternal Now, that means whatever I desire is already in Him and in my own consciousness, in my own wonderful imagination that is God's workshop.
Everything starts with the imagination.
Steve Harvey said this:
Imagination is God giving you a preview of life's coming attractions. If you've always imagined to be, do, or have something, it's because God wants it for you. You have to act on it now.
When God gives you something in your imagination through your eyes of faith, it means He already has it for you in His Kingdom, the heavenly realm. It's the evidence of things not yet seen, the preview of your life's coming attractions.
You have to act on it now so that what you see in faith in your imagination, you can bring into being in the physical, in the earthly realm. That's what manifesting is all about.
You're not waiting for something to happen in the future, you are acting now based on what you see in your imagination you are being, doing, and having.
You’ve imagined yourself in your desired new house? Start acting like you already have it now, feel the feeling of having it now - thankfulness, joy of ownership, happiness, comfort, peace, etc.
When you know you already have something that you have desired, you stop looking and waiting for it, right? You begin to just live in the knowing and certainly, and feelings of having it.
I dream of becoming a writer who inspires and encourages 1 billion people to live the RichLife in Christ everyday in my membership community.
So I live the RichLife in Christ and write about it now like I'm writing to each and every one of my 1 billion people, thanking God for this chance that He had given me to impact 1 billion people, one person at a time.
No more getting frustrated that I only have 1 subscriber now. It's because I already see 1 billion in my imagination. And I know God already wanted and prepared it for me, and sooner or later, it's up to Him, I'll see it happening in my physical now.
Yesterday, I was watching a YouTube documentary of Jeff Bezos and his thoughts on becoming a billionaire with Amazon.
There was a friend of his there who shared that when Jeff was just starting Amazon in his garage, Jeff invited him to invest in his company because he was going to be the richest man in the world, doing $100 billion with this company. That was his truth. Even though he's just a 26-year-old guy selling books on the internet in his garage.
His friend’s very words:
The difference between him and I is that while I was laughing and scoffing and jesting at him, he (Jeff) was already applauding himself going, “At the right way, at the perfect time, I'm going to make as much as I can and as quickly.”
That was the perfect time for Jeff Bezos to start Amazon because he saw God’s vision for it in his mind. He alone can see it, not his friend, because God gave that dream only to him. And when he stepped out in faith, he actually quit his very successful wall street analyst job to start doing it in his garage, he activated God’s favor in the now.
When he step out in faith to respond to God's call to him in the now, he activated God's favor on his life and on his dream.
2 Corinthians 6:2 NIV
[2] For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.
Today is Ash Wednesday which Catholics all over the world celebrate as the start of our 40-day journey of Lent to the celebration of the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ and His Resurrection on Easter.
It's a reminder that dust we are and to dust we shall return. It's also a call for us to repent and believe in the Gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ and the rich life He has given us, now and forever.
It's a perfect reminder that we don't have all the time in the world. We only have now.
We have this time of favor to return to Him as His child and heir, to change our lives and allow our vision to align with His will for us, His GodX vision. To seek His presence more in His word and to do it now.
2 Corinthians 6:2 BSB
[2] For He says: “In the time of favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the time of favor; now is the day of salvation!
Now is the right time to experience God's favor. Now is our day of salvation.
If we do that, we can very easily live the rich life in Christ that Jesus has already won for us.
If you want to know more how to apply that 24-hour activation code to start living the RichLife in Christ now and everyday, join me in our SpeakChrist RichLife Club. We'll do it together. St. Katharine Drexel, pray for us.
