Gospel: John 20: 24-29
Reading 1
[19] So then, you Gentiles are not foreigners or strangers any longer; you are now fellow-citizens with God's people and members of the family of God.
[20] You, too, are built upon the foundation laid by the apostles and prophets, the cornerstone being Christ Jesus himself.
[21] He is the one who holds the whole building together and makes it grow into a sacred temple dedicated to the Lord.
[22] In union with him you too are being built together with all the others into a place where God lives through his Spirit.
Responsorial Psalm
R. (Mark 16:15) Go out to all the world and tell the Good News.
Praise the LORD, all you nations;
glorify him, all you peoples!
R. Go out to all the world and tell the Good News.
For steadfast is his kindness for us,
and the fidelity of the LORD endures forever.
R. Go out to all the world and tell the Good News.
Alleluia
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
You believe in me, Thomas, because you have seen me, says the Lord;
blessed are those who have not seen, but still believe!
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Gospel
[24] One of the twelve disciples, Thomas (called the Twin), was not with them when Jesus came.
[25] So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” Thomas said to them, “Unless I see the scars of the nails in his hands and put my finger on those scars and my hand in his side, I will not believe.”
[26] A week later the disciples were together again indoors, and Thomas was with them. The doors were locked, but Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”
[27] Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands; then stretch out your hand and put it in my side. Stop your doubting, and believe!”
[28] Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”
[29] Jesus said to him, “Do you believe because you see me? How happy are those who believe without seeing me!”
Dearest Father,
Thank You for the grace to stop doubting and now, believe. As written in the Gospel today.
John 20:27 GNBDK
[27] Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands; then stretch out your hand and put it in my side. Stop your doubting, and believe!”
I heard Neville Goddard say in one of his lectures in a video that doubt blocks your manifestation.
The more you believe and assume that you already have what you desire, even when you can't yet see, the faster will it manifest in the physical realm, as it is already yours in the spiritual realm.
The more you assume, in faith and with certainty, that God has given you your desire, dwell in the feeling of the wish and desire fulfilled, the faster you will receive the manifestation of your desire.
Doubting is like digging up the seeds of abundance you've already planted in the spiritual realm and in your consciousness, your seat of creation.
I remember when I still desired to be able to work from home, I was believing one moment and being in despair because of doubts the next. It seemed so impossible for a nurse like me to get a work-from-home job.
I only finally received the fulfillment of that dream when I surrendered it to God and just thanked Him for it in faith even when I can't yet see it happening.
Soon and, as expected by faith, the universe arranged itself, by God’s design, causing even conflict and hardships to propel me to receive my dream.
The same thing happened when I desired for my own place in the city and it seemed impossible to get a house with affordable financing within the city.
I received it with smooth processes and no obstacles in my path when I surrendered it to God, declaring from His word that in my Father's house are many mansions and thanking Him for giving me one here on earth. He gave me a condo.
John 14:2 KJVAE
[2] In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Now I've learned to deal with doubts God's way.
Doubts still assail me but I no longer dwell on those thoughts. I do not give in to those doubts anymore. I simply replace them with thoughts and declarations of God's promises to me regarding a particular desire.
That increases faith in me. And almost always, sooner or later, I get my desires, so much more perfectly than I thought possible.
Today is God's call to stop doubting and now, believe.
John 20:27 EASY
[27] Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger in here. Look at my hands. Put your hand here, in my side. Do not refuse to believe what is true. Now, believe.’
Now, believe!
That sounds like a command.
Because Jesus knows how important it is to stop unbelief and doubting and now, start believing.
It is the only thing that prevented Him from doing lots of miracles in a certain place - because they lacked faith. They did not believe in Him.
Matthew 13:58 EASY
[58] Jesus did not do many powerful things in that town because the people would not believe in him.
Now, believe!
Now is the only right time in the Kingdom of God. The past has come and gone, the future is yet to come for us but He is already there.
God is always in the eternal now. He is Omnipresent. Now is the only time for Him. Now is the time of favor, time of grace for us.
2 Corinthians 6:2 BSB
[2] For He says: “In the time of favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the time of favor; now is the day of salvation!
Everything God has is yours. That's our inheritance in Christ, as members of God’s household and citizens of His Kingdom.
Ergo, everything, all you hope for and dream of, is yours now. If you believe.
So, now, believe!
Do not refuse to believe what is true. Stop your doubting.
If the members of His household, that's us, the people of God, were to be a force to be reckoned with in the world, we must stand up to who we are - believers!
When we believe and imagine what we can do with God, nothing will be impossible for us.
It starts with believing. Let's not give in to our doubts any longer. Instead, declare God’s Word and truth over your dreams, and believe.
John 20:27 TPT
[27] Then, looking into Thomas’ eyes, he said, “Put your finger here in the wounds of my hands. Here—put your hand into my wounded side and see for yourself. Thomas, don’t give in to your doubts any longer, just believe!”
Now, believe!
I was listening to this just this morning. And it really encouraged me to stop doubting and just believe.
This is the law, this is the promise, and this is your power.
