Acts 11:1-18 GNBDK
[1] The apostles and the other believers throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.
[2] When Peter went to Jerusalem, those who were in favour of circumcising Gentiles criticized him, saying,
[3] “You were a guest in the home of uncircumcised Gentiles, and you even ate with them!”
[4] So Peter gave them a complete account of what had happened from the very beginning:
[5] “While I was praying in the city of Joppa, I had a vision. I saw something coming down that looked like a large sheet being lowered by its four corners from heaven, and it stopped next to me.
[6] I looked closely inside and saw domesticated and wild animals, reptiles, and wild birds.
[7] Then I heard a voice saying to me, ‘Get up, Peter; kill and eat!’
[8] But I said, ‘Certainly not, Lord! No ritually unclean or defiled food has ever entered my mouth.’
[9] The voice spoke again from heaven, ‘Do not consider anything unclean that God has declared clean.’
[10] This happened three times, and finally the whole thing was drawn back up into heaven.
[11] At that very moment three men who had been sent to me from Caesarea arrived at the house where I was staying.
[12] The Spirit told me to go with them without hesitation. These six fellow-believers from Joppa accompanied me to Caesarea, and we all went into the house of Cornelius.
[13] He told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house, who said to him, ‘Send someone to Joppa for a man whose full name is Simon Peter. [14] He will speak words to you by which you and all your family will be saved.’
[15] And when I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came down on them just as on us at the beginning.
[16] Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’
[17] It is clear that God gave those Gentiles the same gift that he gave us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ; who was I, then, to try to stop God!”
[18] When they heard this, they stopped their criticism and praised God, saying, “Then God has given to the Gentiles also the opportunity to repent and live!”
Responsorial Psalm, Psalms 42:2-3; 43:3, 4
R. (see 3a) Athirst is my soul for the living God.
As the hind longs for the running waters, so my soul longs for you, O God. Athirst is my soul for God, the living God.
When shall I go and behold the face of God?R. Athirst is my soul for the living God.
Send forth your light and your fidelity; they shall lead me on. And bring me to your holy mountain, to your dwelling-place.
R. Athirst is my soul for the living God.
Then will I go in to the altar of God, the God of my gladness and joy; Then will I give you thanks upon the harp, O God, my God!
R. Athirst is my soul for the living God.
Gospel, John 10:1-10
John 10:1-10 GNBDK
[1] Jesus said, “I am telling you the truth: the man who does not enter the sheepfold by the gate, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber.
[2] The man who goes in through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep.
[3] The gatekeeper opens the gate for him; the sheep hear his voice as he calls his own sheep by name, and he leads them out.
[4] When he has brought them out, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.
[5] They will not follow someone else; instead, they will run away from such a person, because they do not know his voice.”
[6] Jesus told them this parable, but they did not understand what he meant.
[7] So Jesus said again, “I am telling you the truth: I am the gate for the sheep.
[8] All others who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.
[9] I am the gate. Whoever comes in by me will be saved; they will come in and go out and find pasture.
[10] The thief comes only in order to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come in order that you might have life — life in all its fullness.
Dearest Father,
Thank You that in Christ, I have the rich and satisfying life He came to give. As written in the Gospel today.
John 10:10 GNBDK
[10] The thief comes only in order to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come in order that you might have life — life in all its fullness.
I have two other versions of this verse that I really like and am standing on in faith.
John 10:10 NLT
[10] The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
John 10:10 TPT
[10] A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect —life in its fullness until you overflow!
The rich and satisfying life - everything in abundance, more than I expect, life to the fullest until I overflow.
That's what I embody as mine now because Jesus Christ gave it to me and He sealed it by His sacrifice on that cross.
Everything is done. It is fulfilled. It is finished!
That's the very cry of the Son of God, Jesus on the Cross, before He gave up His Spirit.
This simply means, every promise ever spoken by Him as written in the New Testament and every promise spoken by God, His Father, in the Old Testament is now completed and assured to everyone who receives it.
That means this promise in John 10:10 is mine too. Or ours if you believe and receive it like me.
What does a rich and satisfying life mean for you?
For me, it means this:
I have freedom in all its forms: disease freedom, debt freedom, financial freedom, time freedom, and spiritual freedom.
(John 8:36 GNBDK[36] If the Son sets you free, then you will be really free)
I have a great family, empire, and dynasty - meaningful relationships and work with significant and lasting impact.
(2 Samuel 7:16 GNBDK[16] You will always have descendants, and I will make your kingdom last for ever. Your dynasty will never end.)
I am God's source and symbol of blessing - I am living extremely blessed and blessing 1 billion others.
(Zechariah 8:13 NLT[13] Among the other nations, Judah and Israel became symbols of a cursed nation. But no longer! Now I will rescue you and make you both a symbol and a source of blessing. So don’t be afraid. Be strong, and get on with rebuilding the Temple!)
I've known about this full life that Christ gives from the moment I decided to seriously follow Jesus because this is one of the main teachings of the Charismatic community that I decided to dwell in and grow as a Christian.
But, before, for me, it was an ideal to be attained. Something I'm still claiming for and believing in faith to happen in the near future.
But in 2024, I came to know of Neville Goddard’s Law of Assumption which simply means to assume the end of what you are desiring for as already yours.
His brother wanted a successful business so he envisioned and imagined his name on a building owned by him in business. Somebody partnered with him to buy that business and that building he saw his name on. He got his successful business as He wanted.
He wanted to be a successful author so he imagined himself standing before large crowds as a powerful speaker and after which there’s a long line of people wanting his signature on his book. It happened. Even now, many years and generations later, I'm one of thousands listening to his teaching.
His wife wanted to be married and so she imagined herself with a wedding ring on her finger sleeping next to her husband. She became his wife.
All these happened because they assumed that what they desired, at the moment that they desired it, was already fulfilled even before it happened.
When my condo was foreclosed, I thanked God and envisioned my condo returned to me and the foreclosure resolved easily and effortlessly. Three months after, the problem was resolved and my condo became a testament of God's presence, providence, provision, protection, and power.
The Law of Assumption simply says whatever you assume to be true will harden into facts. It becomes a reality for you. It says assume your wish, desire, and dream as already fulfilled and live in the feeling of the wish, desire, and dream fulfilled.
It opened my eyes to the truth that Jesus said in Mark 11:24.
Mark 11:24 GNBDK
[24] For this reason I tell you: when you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it, and you will be given whatever you ask for.
Whatever you desire, believe that you have received it, it will be given to you.
“You have received it” is the key word there.
Have received. Present perfect tense.
Present Perfect Tense: This tense is used to describe actions that began in the past and have a connection to the present, or actions completed in the past that are relevant at the current time.
See that? Action completed in the past but still relevant in the present.
You have already received your dream in the past and are still receiving at present.
Do I believe that I have received the rich and satisfying life I dreamed of? If so, how will I feel and act now that I have received it?
Feelings of thankfulness is what emerges inside of me. Gratitude to God for giving me the rich and satisfying life I desired and He had died to give me. EVery morning I wake up, I thank God for my rich and satisfying life.
I combined this feeling of gratefulness with images of the rich and satisfying life I dreamed of: my bank account with the exact amount I wanted and sending money to my family, friends, and charities I support, a house with a natural pool resort that I enjoy with my family and the people of my city which I know I can only buy and build with the kind of big money I envision to have in my bank account, with my family enjoying the place together.
I maintain this feeling of thankfulness and images the whole day, even when my present circumstances deny it - my bank account is empty at the moment and I still work on my online job, the house with resort still remains real in faith, and my sisters are still not talking to each other.
Am I living in delusion? No. I'm embodying. I'm living in faith which is being sure of the things I hope for and certain of the things I cannot yet see.
Hebrews 11:1 GNBDK
[1] To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see.
I simply act the way I will act if all I ask and desire is already mine. I act, think, and feel exactly like how I will when my desire has already happened.
So believe you already have the rich and satisfying life in Christ. Then feel it already happening by thanking God for it, feeling grateful for it, and imagining the good things it means for you.
Because Jesus already came and has given us our rich and satisfying life, just as He said.
