Reading 1
[1] The LORD said to Abram, “Leave your country, your relatives, and your father's home, and go to a land that I am going to show you.
[2] I will give you many descendants, and they will become a great nation. I will bless you and make your name famous, so that you will be a blessing.
[3] I will bless those who bless you, But I will curse those who curse you. And through you I will bless all the nations.”
[4] When Abram was 75 years old, he started out from Haran, as the LORD had told him to do; and Lot went with him.
[5] Abram took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, and all the wealth and all the slaves they had acquired in Haran, and they started out for the land of Canaan. When they arrived in Canaan,
[6] Abram travelled through the land until he came to the sacred tree of Moreh, the holy place at Shechem. (At that time the Canaanites were still living in the land.)
[7] The LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “This is the country that I am going to give to your descendants.” Then Abram built an altar there to the LORD, who had appeared to him.
[8] After that, he moved on south to the hill country east of the city of Bethel and set up his camp between Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There also he built an altar and worshipped the LORD.
[9] Then he moved on from place to place, going towards the southern part of Canaan.
Responsorial Psalm
Psalm 33:12-13, 18-19, 20 and 22
R. (12) Blessed the people the Lord has chosen to be his own.
Blessed the nation whose God is the LORD,
the people he has chosen for his own inheritance.
From heaven the LORD looks down;
he sees all mankind.
R. Blessed the people the Lord has chosen to be his own.
See, the eyes of the LORD are upon those who fear him,
upon those who hope for his kindness,
To deliver them from death
and preserve them in spite of famine.
R. Blessed the people the Lord has chosen to be his own.
Our soul waits for the LORD,
who is our help and our shield.
May your kindness, O LORD, be upon us
who have put our hope in you.
R. Blessed the people the Lord has chosen to be his own.
Alleluia
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
The word of God is living and effective,
able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart.
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Gospel
[1] “Do not judge others, so that God will not judge you,
[2] for God will judge you in the same way as you judge others, and he will apply to you the same rules you apply to others.
[3] Why, then, do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, and pay no attention to the log in your own eye?
[4] How dare you say to your brother, ‘Please, let me take that speck out of your eye,’ when you have a log in your own eye?
[5] You hypocrite! First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will be able to see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
Dearest Father,
Thank You for blessing me greatly as I simply obey You. As written in the First Ready today.
Genesis 12:2-3 GNBDK
[2] I will give you many descendants, and they will become a great nation. I will bless you and make your name famous, so that you will be a blessing. [3] I will bless those who bless you, But I will curse those who curse you. And through you I will bless all the nations.”
This is exactly why I started claiming to earn at least £1 billion/month in recurring residual passive profits from multiple passive income rivers in my business. Cause, then, it only means I'm able to bless at least 1 billion people in my lifetime, in the first place.
Because I'm single, I took “my descendants” in the verse above to mean the people who will be my spiritual children, birthed in the Spirit because of the truth I share and proclaim - the good news of Jesus Christ and now, in particular, His message of GRACE, God's Riches At Christ's Expense.
“Many descendants…and they will become a great nation” could be at least 1 billion, right? The manifestation experts said to be specific so I chose that number, because why not?
For it would only mean that I have helped that many people, right? What a blessing that would be.
One billion people living the rich life in Christ every day, consistently achieving what God wants us to be, do, and have, and becoming God’s sources and symbols of blessing as we live extremely blessed and blessing others.
One story I never forget is that of a guy who was asked what his purpose in life is and he replied immediately, “To go to heaven and bring as many with me as I can.”
Well, I want to do that too. By helping make many people rich, living the rich and satisfying life in Christ, now and forever. At least, one billion. And earn at least £1 billion/month in the process.
But my small mind will always say, “How?”
That was then. Now, I simply receive and believe this promise, and even now thank God for it in faith.
I keep an image as my phone’s screen lock that declares exactly that, in thanksgiving mode, not begging mode:
Why?
Simply because it is God who will make me achieve that as He promised.
Look at the promise again.
Genesis 12:2-3 GNBDK
[2] I will give you many descendants, and they will become a great nation. I will bless you and make your name famous, so that you will be a blessing. [3] I will bless those who bless you, But I will curse those who curse you. And through you I will bless all the nations.”
I will give you…
I will bless you…
It is not the “how” that I should be concerned about.
Why would I ask about the “how” when, in faith, this promise is already done and is already mine?
Mark 11:22-24 AMP
[22] Jesus replied, “Have faith in God [constantly]. [23] I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will]. [24] For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you.
I simply believe I already have received it and declare it over my life.
Thank God, I'm blessed!
Thank God, I'm famous!
Thank God, I'm a blessing!
And through me all families of the earth are blessed!
God will do it for me.
It's not the “how” but the “Who” that will help us achieve great things in this life.
I'm always amused because my sister-in-law lives in this small hometown where most of those in influential positions in the town are her relatives.
When they started a maternity clinic, they got to use the town’s ambulance whenever they needed it for patient transport for free, because their mayor is a relative of theirs and they were able to ask for this favor as they provide this valuable maternity service to the town.
When they needed a police report claim for a refund from their car insurance, they easily got it cause they have a cousin in the police force.
Life is oftentimes made so much easier because of “Who” you know, not only what you know and how you strive to achieve things.
How much more if we have the most influential and powerful Backer, Who created the whole universe, including you and I, backing us?
Wouldn't things be so much easier, richer, and more satisfying?
Our only action needed is to simply obey. Like Abraham did.
God told him to leave his family and his country and go to the land God will show him, he did.
Without question, without hesitation, without doubt.
God told him to circumcise himself and his people as a sign of their covenant together, he did. Immediately.
God told him to offer his only son Isaac as a sacrifice, he did. Right the following day. Even when it was probably so painful for him.
Abraham simply obeyed the Lord, in every place God led him to go, in everything God inspired him to do. And in every place he went, he built an altar and worshipped the Lord there.
Genesis 12:5-9 GNBDK
[5] Abram took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, and all the wealth and all the slaves they had acquired in Haran, and they started out for the land of Canaan. When they arrived in Canaan, [6] Abram travelled through the land until he came to the sacred tree of Moreh, the holy place at Shechem. (At that time the Canaanites were still living in the land.) [7] The LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “This is the country that I am going to give to your descendants.” Then Abram built an altar there to the LORD, who had appeared to him. [8] After that, he moved on south to the hill country east of the city of Bethel and set up his camp between Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There also he built an altar and worshipped the LORD. [9] Then he moved on from place to place, going towards the southern part of Canaan.
Abraham remained in the Lord and let God's words remain in him and so he got what his heart desires and so much more - he became the father of many nations.
Just as Jesus promised in John.
John 15:7-8 GNBDK
[7] If you remain in me and my words remain in you, then you will ask for anything you wish, and you shall have it. [8] My Father's glory is shown by your bearing much fruit; and in this way you become my disciples.
And now if you have faith as Abraham did, believing in Jesus, the Word of God, this promise too is yours. Just believe, receive, and simply obey God everyday.
Genesis 12:2-3 GNBDK
[2] I will give you many descendants, and they will become a great nation. I will bless you and make your name famous, so that you will be a blessing. [3] I will bless those who bless you, But I will curse those who curse you. And through you I will bless all the nations.”
